Men are 10 times more likely to be in jail or prison than women. Over 90 percent of the people behind bars are men…

In 1992, we first referred to the criminal justice system as a “perpetual incarceration machine.” Our intention was to describe how the system continues to grow because of its failure to reform or rehabilitate inmates.

In my research OCDC matched these ratios. Participant 11 and 12 former inmates in my academic work agreed to the systems in-effectiveness
